As per previous posters I contacted Amazon.co.uk by phone and email yesterday and, although I asked about the pre-release pack, was informed that the only versions they were stocking were the standard and CE editions which would be released on October 27th.

Having explained that the pre-release pack was showing on amazon.de the repsonse was that UK did not stock the same items and that the item was not available here.

Imbued by the moderators and armed with quotes from ArenaNet, our heroic German forum member took another shot at extracting his 2€ from the malign juggernaut a.k.a Amazon.de. This was the answer, he got.

Quote:
Good day Mr. Schloeder,

many thanks for your response to Amazon.de

I can ensure you, that my colleague did not provide you with faulty information.

It is true that the Pre-Order-Box purchase price of 2€, will not be deducted from the price of Nightfall – Full Version.

This Pre-Order-Box is a bonus package which can be ordered independently from the full version.

I am sorry, for not being able to provide you with different information.

While it is our opinion that arguing with underpaid support agents is somewhat futile (no such thing as a minimum wage in Germany), we feel that the cumulative effect of these 2€ sales is somewhat disgruntling us. After all, smaller gaming outlets (eg. 4u2play.de) seem to be capable of handling the Pre-order pack correctly. Individually we do not care about a price of 2€. As a group however we feel not obliged to throw all the money down Amazon’s throat. We'd rather throw the money at ANet, or smaller shops for that matter.

Australia failed again. EB's (Canberra) has no idea when they're getting it in.

Alex, I've pre-ordered the Nightfall CE from www.game.co.uk, but there's no mention of whether I'll be receiving the pre-order pack or not.
Any chance you could clarify this situation with Game?

Danyjr, what package did you order then? I can't see anything about pre-release material anywhere on their site?

Just went for a wander round my local town:

Game - looked at me blank, checked release list they had on file, bonus pack not even on it!!
HMV - same again.
Gamestation - "yeah, it was supposed to be out today, but our HQ are rubbish at sending PC games out so it could be another 3 weeks before we get it!"

So, no joy here

Rich

Glad someone has!

Both Newcastle and Inverness claim to have none. The shop assisstant in Game in Inverness knew nothing about it...looked at her delivery sheet and said "Well, we're supposed to have 15 delivered today"...."They'll probably not arrive until Monday!"

WTF???

Hello Gameplay...
